Most people have become conscious of what they eat and have a desire to eat traditional vegetables, but they either don’t have time to prepare it or lack the know-how regarding the preparation process, which is labor intensive,” Miriam says. “My mission is to promote healthy lifestyles, inspired by the way our grandparents cooked their foods and lived subsequently longer lives, free from lifestyle diseases.”

This week’s Sheworks Africa facilitator has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and is a professional as well as a trainer in Food and Beverage Management. Nabakwe Miriam is the CEO and Founder of Kienyeji’s Store. She prides herself as a Firebrand Connoisseur of authentic traditional cooking and the pioneer of the idea of making Precooked Kienyeji (Traditional) Vegetables.

As a coffee expert with over 15 years of judging experience in the Kenya National Barista Championships, Miriam consults in the Hospitality industry with a bias on Coffee Shop setups, and existing struggling establishments which include restaurants. She has mastered the art of making the same product more than once and it’s her joy to pass this on to our participants in this week’s session of kayana‘s Passport To Business that’s currently being implemented by Nyayo Moms Sokos.
