Here’s a walk down memory lane…
A few years ago, my mom handed me a cup of black soap to school. Very quickly, my friends started noticing the changes on my skin; the smoothness, radiance and blemish-free, and quickly became interested in the product I was using. If I’d told them that I wasn’t on any fancy regimen and that I was only using the black soap mom gave to me, would they have believed me?
I went ahead and shared some with them. To my greatest surprise, a few weeks later, my friends came back for more. They loved it! Here’s where my passion for plant-based natural and organic skincare started and since then all I wanted to do is to share this secret with the rest of the world.
What an inspiring story from Damilola Isiaq, founder of Kira Organics; an all-natural, completely handmade skincare brand established in 2017 to create awareness for living a healthy life through ancient beauty secrets in Africa and to promote Nigeria’s local market. The UK-accredited skincare specialist has caught the art of personal branding and would show up on all our online sessions under the name ‘Skincare by Dami’.
“The first thing Sheworks Africa Program taught me was how to create a hero product that meets a need. I evaluated my current product and made some adjustments to the formula. I must admit, my customer service has improved too,” says Dami. “Most of all, Nyayo Moms Sokos is helping me create a structure for my business, identify my ideal customer by paying careful attention to their pressing skin needs and goals, and designing skincare products to specifically meet them.” Damilola Isiaq does not take a back seat during Kayana’s Passport To Business online training. Her bubbly presence is always felt through her active participation. Her continuous growth can be seen on the digital platforms below:
