Her career journey began in the private sector, and she later transitioned into private consulting, where her focus is primarily on supporting women and youth-led startups. Maureen possesses valuable soft skills, including proficiency in Digital Literacy and training, Effective Communication, and Human-Centred Design Thinking.
She also serves as an instructor specializing in Storytelling with a prominent global organization. Maureen has actively participated in esteemed pan-African and global fellowships, including The Tony Elumelu Foundation Fellowship, Future Females Business School, and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. These experiences have enriched her expertise and global perspective.
Martha Owuor
Martha Owuor is a seasoned professional in the Tourism Industry, boasting two decades of experience across the Travel Agency, Tour Operations, and Hotel Management sectors.
Her skill set encompasses Customer Relations and care, Effective Communication, Quality Control, and proficient Administrative Skills. In 2007, Martha chose to retire from her professional career to answer her calling. Residing in the community since 2001, she played a pivotal role alongside other pioneers in establishing the Nyayo Embakasi Residents Association.
This association was created to serve the welfare and interests of its substantial population, exceeding 20,000 residents. Since its inception in 2011, Martha has been instrumental in laying down the essential governance structures and systems, both within the Association and across various Courts and Maisonette Zones, forming the bedrock of its operations.
Njoki Mwangi
Njoki Mwangi is a highly qualified Marriage and Family Therapist with an impressive academic background. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, a Diploma in Law from the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), and a Higher Diploma in Counselling Psychology, specializing in Loss and grief Therapy, Expressive Therapy, and Play Therapy. Additionally, she has earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT). Njoki’s skill set extends beyond her academic achievements. She excels in Child and Adolescent Counselling, holds the role of Trainer of Trainers for Counselors, offers Legal Consultancy services, actively engages as a Community Leader, and serves as an Advocate for mental well-being.
